Privacy Policy

The short version: Grosik does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. Everything you enter stays on your device and — if you use iCloud — in your own private iCloud storage, which only you can access. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no bank connections. We couldn't look at your data if we wanted to — it never reaches us.
What data Grosik stores
Grosik stores the budgets, categories, transactions, and settings you enter. All of it is saved in a local database on your iPhone, protected by iOS's built-in device encryption. If your device is signed into iCloud, the same data syncs to the private CloudKit database of your personal iCloud account — encrypted by Apple, inaccessible to us, and covered by the Apple Privacy Policy. Nothing is ever sent to servers of ours; we have none.
iCloud sync and backup
Sync exists so your budget survives a lost phone or a re-installation, and stays identical across your devices. It uses only your personal iCloud storage. You can turn it off at any time in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Saved to iCloud → Grosik; the app then keeps working fully offline with local-only storage.
What we collect
Nothing. Grosik contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising code, and makes no network requests except the ones Apple's own frameworks make to process subscriptions (see below). In App Store privacy terms, Grosik's label is "Data Not Collected."
Subscriptions
Grosik Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription processed entirely by Apple through your Apple account. We never see your payment details, name, or address. Apple's handling of that information is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
Notifications
If you enable overspending alerts, they are generated locally on your device. No notification content ever leaves your phone.
Your data, your control
- Export: Settings → "Export my data" gives you a complete copy of your data as a JSON file.
- Delete: deleting the app deletes all of its data from your device. If iCloud sync was on, you can also remove the synced copy in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Grosik.
Children
Grosik does not collect data from anyone, including children, and is rated for ages 4+.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date. Since Grosik's design makes data collection impossible without a fundamental rewrite, meaningful changes are unlikely.
